Group Discussion- Music Video Inspirations

Following a discussion that a 'Gothic Themed' music video was the direction our video was going in, we took it upon ourselves to look at music videos from famous Gothic band 'The Cure' and some of the conventions of their music videos. We looked at 'Lullaby' and 'A Forest.' Lullaby in particular was very relevant to the style of video we are looking to achieve. The video looks like a blend of late Ed Wood overwrought horrors, with the central protagonist and lead singer Robert Smith dressed in a similar way to that of Edward Scissorhands, a film that came after the video.
